DxVA in VLC!

I'm doing again a Google Summer of Code, and this time, I'll work on DxVA integration in VLC: decoding MPEG2 or H264 with the graphic card! This plugin will reduce the load on the CPU and speed up decoding. It looks like I'll have to see lots of HD videos this summer, "for testing purpose" 0:-)

hey Geoffroy that sounds great, is see a video accceleration option in .99, a small improvement, but not the power of wmp, or mpc-hq edition, by nvidia should support both cuda and open gl, tried getting core cuda but no success with that, will look at vlc rc4 and see how that goes, there was a note about blu-ray in the release notes, will vlc now support bluray?? that would be awesome, no more fiddling with powerdvd, so you are a media coder guru, hey I can not seem to enable 6speakers in mpc-hq any ideas, sure hope the Cone regains status as best player on the planet!!!!!!! hit me back at zirnitis@hotmail.com thanks K
Good morning. I am trying to solve the problem of support DxVA in vlc. According to the information specified in http://wiki.videolan.org/SoC_2009/D... you should have already completed work on the integration. At what stage is the process of solving this problem? I would like to discuss the support of DxVA in VLC with you, so could you please give me your contacts. You can contact me via email realnetspider@gmail.com.
Hello,
the DXvA support in VLC is still in development. I developed a prototype module this summer, to show how VLC media player could interact with the graphic card, but it is not yet ready for release.
Hello. I develop an application that plays iptv multicast streams using vlc core.
The majority of computers can't normally play HD video coded by x264 because DxVA is not being used.
Is it possible to cooperate in the development of DxVA module for VLC?
